Dear Romance Reader,

As another year draws to a close and a new one hovers on the horizon, I’m taking the time to reflect on the many positive things that have happened in 2010. It’s been a good year overall, and though there were times that life did not go as planned, (does it ever?) I am so very grateful for you and the life that I live.

In January, I added a new member to the family. Finn, my American bulldog arrived hell bent on literally eating me out of house and home. In the blink of an eye, my sofa, several upholstered chairs, and potted plants around my pool were demolished. Even my mattress didn’t escape his bite. The good news is that he has started to mellow. He is very attached to me, and has the sweetest nature. He’s never bitten the hand that fed him and that I see as a good thing. Those of you following me on Facebook probably read about Finn’s “dietary habits.” He does have discerning taste, last week he only ate one sneaker.

This past summer, I had the good fortune to take a cruise out of Venice. I visited such exotic ports of call as Dubrovnik, Napfoli and Athens in Greece. I especially loved revisiting the ancient city of Kusadasi in Turkey. Capping off the trip was an exhilarating train ride to Milan. I love trains, and taking the train in Italy is a snap.

Another highlight was attending the Romance Writers of America Conference in Orlando. I presented a workshop with author friends, Sandra Kitt and Laura Castoro Parker. Check out our On PAR Facebook page. It’s our way of saying the over 40 woman rocks. The first 100 fans will be entered into a holiday drawing for a Kindle. Here’s the link.

I am pleased that my September 2011 book Just You was delivered on time. No extension required. Yea! Now in between the parties and holiday festivities I am working on another proposal.

Be happy, stay healthy, and give to those less fortunate. Remember good things happen when we adopt an attitude of gratitude!

Happy New Year all!

Romantically Yours,
