Hi Reader Friends,

A very Happy August to you! It's sweltering in my part of the world and my only relief is air conditioning, beach or pool. What's happening in your part of the world? Has it been a good summer for you?

August is my birthday month and I look forward to celebrating my 29th again. In my heart, I will always be 29. I haven't quite decided what I will do, but I am getting the travel itch. I'm thinking some place cool, literally and figuratively. I'm the spontaneous type. Any ideas where my travels should take me?

Meanwhile, I'm working on three books simultaneously. Yeah, I know I'm losing my mind, but everyone knows I enjoy a challenge.

On a completely different note, what started out as an Independence Weekend book sale, has morphed into a summer sale. Most of my available eBooks on Amazon and Barnes & Noble are now $1.99. The novellas are only 99 cents. This sale won't last. Now is the time to pick up any of my books you haven't read, because come September they'll be back to full price.

 For those of you who reside locally, think of joining me and three talented authors on Saturday, September 23rd. My author friends all write for different genres. The event is presented by Mystery Writers of America. It's free and held at the library. The info, address and a brief recap are below.

PS: Here's a cool summer drink for you!

Bellini Moonshiners

Ingredients:
• 2 ripe peaches
• 32 basil leaves
• ½ cup confectioners' sugar
• Juice of 2 limes (about 1/4 cup)
• 1½ cup moonshine
• 1 Liter sparkling water
• 1 bottle Champagne

Muddle peaches, basil, and sugar.
Add 4 cups ice (that's your moonshine).
Add lime juice and moonshine.
Stir well. Divide mixture among 8 highball glasses.
Top off with sparkling water and champagne.
Garnish each glass with a basil leaf, and enjoy!
