Hi Reader Friends,

This time I'm writing to you from Las Vegas where the weather is temperate. To answer the unspoken comment, I do get around.

On Saturday, I was the presenter at a writers workshop which I meant to invite you to, but unfortunately this newsletter was not completed on time. Now here I am in Sin City and determined to get it done before March comes around.

Vegas is alive again and the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon held yesterday drew a crowd. There were thousands of runners dressed in everything from speedos to Kiss gear. They were wearing wigs, white face, and waggling tongues. It's Las Vegas at its finest, therefore no judgement. The day ended at a celebrity chef 's restaurant with a great view of the Bellagio and its dancing fountains, but unfortunately, jetlag set in and it was bedtime for me.

In about a week, I’m in Huntsville, Alabama, a place I have never been too. That too should be an adventure, and one I’ll be sure to share with you. Then color me crazy, I am off on a short cruise. I do miss traveling.

In terms of writing, I’m still slugging away on my women’s fiction book and hoping to finish it in March. It’s been a long process with many challenges, although there is light at the end of the tunnel and I will get it done.

It's Mardi Gras or Fat Tuesday tomorrow, and while Vegas is not New Orleans, I'll be sure to celebrate with a bead or two, Maybe I'll even search out a place for King Cake and find the baby Jesus. Everyone needs a little luck and prosperity this year.

How will you celebrate? Will you give up something for lent?

Romantically Yours,
